It was a big and exciting day for Nunavut on Friday, November 30th, when Government officials: Premier, Joe Savikataaq; Minister Responsible for Nunavut Arctic College, Patterk Netser; Minister David Akeeagok; President of NAC, Sheila Kolola, and NAC Board Member Adla Itorcheak traveled to Grise Fiord for the opening of the Community Learning Centre.

With the completion of this facility, Nunavut Arctic College is proud to announce that now every community in Nunavut has a CLC, Grise Fiord’s being the most northern post-secondary facility in Canada!

The opening of the Community Learning Centre in Grise Fiord represents the commitment of this Government to the Turaaqtavut priority, it will provide education opportunities and prepare learners with the knowledge and skills to enter the workforce in Nunavut or continue their educational path.

This CLC was completed on budget and a month ahead of schedule. It includes a computer lab, a classroom, and an office for the Adult Educator.
