The College is seeking to fill the position of Instructor, Electrician, with a Journeyman (Inter-provincial) certified trades instructor. This position is for the Nunavut Trades Training Center, located in Rankin Inlet, and is open to Journeyman (IP) certified applicants experienced in trades training, along with a demonstrated aptitude for working with Arctic climate technologies.

With Nunavut-wide responsibilities, the Mine Training Coordinator ardently monitors trades preparatory programming and curriculum; to ensure to develop in adult students, the skills, knowledge, personal qualities and attitudes necessary to begin a new career path in Nunavut’s mining industry. This mandate is achieved primarily working through the delivery of Federal and territorially funded mine training programs.

Drawing on the wisdom of our Elders, the youth of Arctic Bay have collected valuable information to preserve our local history. Launch of the website will be held on March 30, 2009 from 10:15 am – 12:00 pm at the Nunatta Campus of Nunavut Arctic College, with presentations and light refreshments.
