This position is located at the Trades Training Centre in Rankin Inlet, and reports to the Director of Trades & Technology. The incumbent for this position will be a Senior Instructor at the Nunavut Trades Training Centre and provides a pivotal role in the successful delivery of Pre-trades programming for adult learners across Nunavut; including close liaisons with High Schools, community groups, government and businesses to assist in planning for Pre-trades development and training. The Senior Instructor of Trades Access works closely with Nunavut Arctic College trades programs, delivered through the Community Learning Centers and regional campus based programs located in Iqaluit and Cambridge Bay.

Nunavut Arctic College is a multi-campus institution designed to provide a wide variety of education services to adult learners of the Nunavut Territory.  This position is located in Cambridge Bay at Kitikmeot Campus reporting directly to the Residence Manager.

This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment, in which the daily functions of the Campus are carried out.  The incumbent will follow a rigorous routine of cleaning functions, minor routine maintenance and repairs, security and general safety, as assigned by the supervisor and in general assistance to the facility staff in compliance with the College’s policies and procedures.  This position works in areas of high public interest that must meet GN and NAC expectations.

It's been a year of progress and accomplishments for Sanatuliqsarvik, the Nunavut Trades Training Centre in Rankin Inlet. The three-year-old trades training facility, its students and staff were congratulated in a Ministerial Statement to the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut this Friday by the Hon. Paul Quassa, Minister responsible for Nunavut Arctic College.
