The Regional Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Coordinator will develop, implement, coordinate, and promote all College-based RPL activity in their region. The position is located at the Nunatta Campus of Nunavut Arctic College and reports to the Territorial RPL Manager as part of the Academic Affairs Office. Working in a team with the Territorial RPL Manager and the Kivalliq and Kitikmeot Regional RPL Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for the development, implementation, promotion, monitoring and evaluation of RPL-related policies, systems and services at the college.

Three Year Term Position
The Senior Instructor, Trades Programs is responsible for the management of Trades staff in the Kivalliq Campus, and all aspect in the delivery of the trades programming based in the Kivalliq Region. The incumbent provides for the overall planning, instruction, reporting & delivery of Nunavut’s Apprenticeship Accredited Housing Maintainer Serviceman, Oil Burner Mechanic, Plumber and Electrical programs, and the delivery of related Pre-apprenticeship programs.
The Education Programs division, Nunavut Arctic College, has been focusing on various literacy initiatives and enhancements as part of our instructional processes in the Nunavut Teacher Education Program (NTEP). This falls in line and is supportive of recent literacy proclamations by the Hon. Paul Quassa, Minister of Education / Minister Responsible for Nunavut Arctic College.
It's been a year of progress and accomplishments for Sanatuliqsarvik, the Nunavut Trades Training Centre in Rankin Inlet. The three-year-old trades training facility, its students and staff were congratulated in a Ministerial Statement to the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut this Friday by the Hon. Paul Quassa, Minister responsible for Nunavut Arctic College.
Congratulations to Aaron Pilakapsi, the first Journeyman Oil Burner Mechanic to emerge from apprenticeship training courses offered at the Sanatuliqsarvik Nunavut Trades Training Centre in Rankin Inlet.
