The Education Programs division, Nunavut Arctic College, has been focusing on various literacy initiatives and enhancements as part of our instructional processes in the Nunavut Teacher Education Program (NTEP). This falls in line and is supportive of recent literacy proclamations by the Hon. Paul Quassa, Minister of Education / Minister Responsible for Nunavut Arctic College.

It's been a year of progress and accomplishments for Sanatuliqsarvik, the Nunavut Trades Training Centre in Rankin Inlet. The three-year-old trades training facility, its students and staff were congratulated in a Ministerial Statement to the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut this Friday by the Hon. Paul Quassa, Minister responsible for Nunavut Arctic College.

Northern technology grads can earn Bachelor of Science degree

WINNIPEG, MB – The resource development boom underway in the North and specifically Nunavut requires a well-educated and skilled workforce. Nunavut Arctic College and The University of Winnipeg recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding which will see graduates of the College’s Environmental Technology Program transfer to Winnipeg to continue their educations and earn Bachelor of Science degrees.

Nunavut Arctic College Nursing instructor Sally Naphan tries her hand at drum dancing this week as part of the College's Culture week, which comes to a close this Friday. Throughout the week, staff and students have been engaged in Inuit language and culture activities across the territory, from drum dancing, storytelling, feasts and hunting! Thanks to all our staff who have made this week a great experience!
