Instructor Development Program

The Instructor Development Program is offered in partnership with the University of New Brunswick (UNB) to college instructors and adult educators at Nunavut Arctic College. Although preference will be given to College employees, it is also open to other people who are interested in career development in the field of adult education. Completion of the program or parts of it may be a term of hire for some employees.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants wishing to apply to this program must:

  • Be approved by their supervisor and the Nunavut Arctic College Instructor Development Program committee.

LENGTH OF DELIVERY

This is an 18 credit program delivered over two years at various locations.

RECORD OF ACHIEVEMENT

Instructor Development Program Certificate, issued jointly by Nunavut Arctic College and the University of New Brunswick

TRANSFER CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES

Upon completion of the Program students have the option of laddering their credits into The Certificate of Adult Education at Arctic College or University of New Brunswick and/or the Bachelor of Adult Education at UNB.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Participants in this professional development program are usually employed in the field of adult learning and training.
