Reporting to the College Registrar, the Admissions Officer will be responsible for effectively managing and maintaining timely admission services for Qikiqtani students. The Admissions Officer is directly responsible for all processes and protocol related to student registration, enrolment process and records management for the Nunatta Campus, the 15 Qikiqtaaluk Community learning centres and the Piqqusilirivvik Cultural School in Clyde River. This position will consistently interact with the College Registrar, Program Managers and Finance staff.

Reporting to the Manager of Policy and Planning, the incumbent is responsible for Nunavut Arctic College’s capital planning. The incumbent in working with program and technical personnel is responsible for the development of effective capital planning systems for Nunavut Arctic College.

  The Capital Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining capital planning as well as preparing long range plans to meet the requirements for the College’s programs and services. With facilities in each community, the Nunavut Arctic College has a large and varied capital inventory.  The incumbent will monitor deferred maintenance and plan for capital renewal for over 200 million in tangible assets. Some of the responsibilities for the Capital Planner include preparation of the Capital Main Estimates and other budget submissions required by the GN’s Department of Finance, the Financial Management Board, and Legislative Committees. Other responsibilities for this position include consulting with program and technical staff to identify needs of a project, as well as participate in the final inspections of construction. The Capital Planner will also manage these projects to ensure that they remain on budget and on time. Regular duty travel will be required for this position.
