Pick up a Nunavut Arctic College application from any campus, or community learning centre in Nunavut or download one from our website, www.arcticcollege.ca
- Fill out the application form and include any extra documents listed in the Admission Requirements section of the program you are applying to, as noted in the Calendar. Make sure you provide full and complete information. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
- Email, mail, fax or drop off your complete application at one of our regional campuses or community learning centres by April 15, 2011 for programs that begin in September 2011.
Students in their final year of high school should apply by April 15 even though they have not yet completed the required courses. You will need to request that a copy of your final transcript be sent directly to Nunavut Arctic College when they become available.
- If you have completed Grade 12 or post-secondary education, your application must be supported by complete official transcripts from your previous schools.
- Official transcripts are issued by the educational institution offering the program or course. You may submit unofficial transcripts with your application for review, but official transcripts must be provided. Failure to provide transcripts may prevent your admission or continuation in a program
- If you have not completed high school, you will be required to write the Nunavut Arctic College Placement Assessment. Certain programs may also require that you complete program-specific assessments. Please read the Admission Requirements section below for more information.3. When we receive your application, we will send you a letter acknowledging receipt and informing you of any additional requirements. If you have not received a letter within six weeks, contact the Registrar.
Some programs require interviews, others do not. You will be contacted if an interview is needed.
After you have submitted all the required information, your application will be reviewed. You will be notified that either you:
- Have been accepted, with information on how to proceed with registration.
- Have been recommended to complete certain courses to meet the entrance requirements for your program of choice such as basic education or preparatory courses.
- Have not been accepted, with an explanation.
Applicants have the right to appeal if they think that their application has not received full and fair consideration.
Applicants are considered for admission to most programs on a first come, first served basis only after all required documents have been received. To ensure consideration for a program apply as early as possible.
