Our Partners
University Partners
Nunavut Arctic College has been a leader in developing successful education
partnerships to bring the benefits of university degree programs to Nunavut. The
College has well-established partnerships with the University of Regina for the Nunavut
Teacher Education Program and Dalhousie University for the Nunavut Nursing
Program.
These partnerships permit northern students to obtain Bachelor degrees
entirely in Nunavut. The college is also developing new agreements with UArctic
member institutions to offer another undergraduate degree in Nunavut - a BA in
Northern Studies (Bachelor of Circumpolar Studies). These creative partnership
agreements expand the learning opportunities available in Nunavut.
Dalhousie University
Spring Convocation 2004, marked the first graduation of Nunavut students with
the Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The degree granted by our partner
institution, Dalhousie University was delivered by Nunavut Arctic College in
Nunavut at the Nunatta Campus in Iqaluit. The
Nursing program which was jointly developed by the College and Dalhousie
continues to be managed by NAC and Dalhousie under the coordination of the
College. All courses are delivered by NAC's highly qualified Nursing Faculty.
Annual enrollments in the program continue to rise and we look forward to many
more Nunavut graduates.

northern development and the benefits that UArctic can bring to the people of
